Jerine Gonzalez, B.A.
Practicum Student

I am a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Fresno. Prior to my graduate studies, I earned an associate’s degree from Fresno City College and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Monterey Bay.

My clinical interests include working with children, adolescents, and individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have experience providing individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, and have worked with a wide range of clinical presentations, including ADHD, OCD, depressive disorders, and anxiety disorders. My training includes work in community clinics, a probation connection center, and as a telephone crisis counselor supporting individuals in emotional distress and experiencing suicidality. I also have experience conducting psychodiagnostic evaluations and assessments.

Currently, my research focuses on the impact of psychological flexibility and substance use among individuals struggling with suicidal ideation.

Outside of my clinical and academic work, I enjoy baking, traveling, and spending time with my two cats. I’m passionate about social advocacy, environmentalism, and animal welfare. I'm also a HUGE fan of Harry Potter, Marvel, and love listening to alternative/indie music.
