Alejandro Alvarez, APCC
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #13028
Practicum Student

I was born in Fresno and raised in small rural towns and ranch communities south of the city. I am a proud Mexican American and the son of immigrant parents. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Brandman University and my master's degree in clinical counseling from Alliant International University. I am currently continuing my education in the PhD program in Clinical Psychology at Alliant.

I discovered my passion for working with children and adolescents while employed in a school. That experience helped me realize how much I value being part of a team that supports young people and their families. My goal is to help bridge the gap in communication between families and professionals, so children can receive the care and support they need to thrive into adulthood.

In my free time, I enjoy feeding my inner child by doing things I couldn’t afford growing up, like traveling and visiting museums. These moments help me stay grounded and connected to the joy and curiosity I hope to nurture in others.
