Corbin Bies, B.A.
Practicum Student

I began my educational journey at Gavilan College, a local Junior college receiving my associate degree in psychology. I then transferred to California State University, Monterey Bay, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology. I am now pursuing my doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University.

I have had the opportunity to work with those of various ages, backgrounds, and diagnoses. I have experience working in an inpatient crisis management psychiatric hospital, facilitating groups, and working in the biopsychosocial model. Aside from my clinical experience, I have been a basketball coach and a referee for children to adolescents in multiple sports, but don’t worry… I won’t have anyone doing drills in the office.

I adore assisting kids, teenagers, and young people in navigating this great big world. Everyone has something new or unique to provide, and I seek to provide a space for people to discover who they are and find their interests. To give each person the most outstanding care possible, I base my work on a culturally sensitive approach.

In my spare time, I love going to the beach and hiking. I love to play sports and go to the gym. I enjoy playing games of all types and sharing jokes. After doing all those fun activities, I like to end my day with a good action movie. My favorite color is blue and I love all the Marvel movies.
